Who we are

Paydayloan.joburg is the brainchild of two, young kasi born and bred entrepreneurs from different parts of South Africa. Gugulethu Nkosi and Asanda Cagwe with many years’ experiences in finance and consumer lending. What brought us together is our drive to make a positive impact and improve the lives of our people.

Our Mission

Debt can be good. It helps us finance big purchases we otherwise would only be able to afford in cash much much later. Even smaller loans are useful where we don’t have easily accessible funds and need cash quick in the case of emergencies or unexpected expenses. Our mission is to reduce the prohibitively expensive nature of this wonderful service and move as many people as we can towards good debt.

Knowing that many short-term lenders are simply in it for the money, this was an opportunity for us. We want to become the lender that people can trust to be fair, transparent and good-intentioned. Ethical and socially responsible policies and procedures run throughout our company. These are the key drivers for our overall vision to be the most socially responsible short-term lender in Africa. For us, this means putting the customers’ needs and interest at the heart of our operation.
